How much are your sites worth?

October 6, 2009 by jerry

How much are your sites worth? Some web owners are crazy to find out the answers. That’s the reason why so many people are now talking about web site valuation tools. I’ve been using several of them over the years (mainly for fun) and tested them by using few of my clients’ sites. Here are few I consider worth having a view.

1. Stimator – My favorite. It allows you to submit subdomains or inner directories.

2. Pufip – Good, but can’t include subdomain or inner directory

3. BizInformation – factors considered: Website Value, Daily Pageviews, Daily Visitors, Worldwide Rank, External Links

4. DnScoop – The site’s value will be calculated based on several factors shown above, including: Links, Traffic (Alexa), age of the domain, site category, domain keyword popularity, and overall occurrences of the domain name on the web.

I suggest you to not use these tools as your primary sources. It will provide you with some data for sure, but it’s undoubtedly inadequate. In fact, a site’s true value replied on the buyers potential and current state of online revenues. So make use of everything for your own benefit.
